Meet The Team
Make-A is a student run enterprise in the Applied Business Management program at the Louis Riel Arts & Technology Centre. The enterprise allows the students to run various facets of a business while meeting educational outcomes.
Charity
Part of the proceeds from Make-A go to the RIEL-EVATE Foundation. RIEL-EVATE is a school community foundation that aims to engage individuals in LRSD with the various communities around them.
Applied Business Management Program
The Applied Business Management program provides students with a sense of what a post-secondary business education might look like and an idea of how business education can advance their career goals regardless of their field of interest. Students take two courses from the University of Winnipeg in addition to six high school business courses in accounting, marketing, and economics. An emphasis is placed on providing project-based learning that allows students to work with clients from the community. Networking opportunities are presented throughout the program that culminates in a four-week internship in a business setting aimed to further the students’ career aspirations.
